All About Connie Britton’s Boyfriend, David Windsor
Friday Night Lights actress Connie Britton has been dating boyfriend David E. Windsor since 2019. The couple weathered the start of COVID-19 together in the early parts of their relationship and are still going strong in 2024.
In fact, Britton has said very little about her boyfriend until recently, sharing new details about him in January. Here’s everything we know about Windsor and his relationship with Britton so far.
Who is David E. Windsor?
Windsor is a writer and producer, with credits on This Is Us, The Real O’Neals, Trophy Wife, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, and What I Like About You. Britton has mentioned he is Italian and Jewish and that he was previously married. He shares two children with his ex-wife, Archie and Tilly.
According to The Dirt.com, the couple own a home in Santa Monica together, purchased in February this year. The 8,000 square foot home sold for $6.2 million.
How long have they been together?
Britton has said they met in late 2019, but they were first spotted in public in September 2021, having dinner at the West Hollywood restaurant Sushi Park. They were photographed together again in June 2022 at Los Angeles International Airport, wearing matching hats.
Do they have children together?
In addition to Windsor’s two children from a previous marriage, Britton adopted a son in November 2011 from Ethiopia, named Eyob. She has said that Windsor is involved in her son’s life as a paternal figure.
How did Britton and Windsor meet?
On January 30, Britton finally opened up about their romantic meet cute on an episode of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, hosted by Andy Cohen.
“I have an amazing man in my life now, and he is definitely stepping into that more paternal role,” Britton explained.
She first saw Windsor at a birthday party for one of Britton’s “dear friends,” but they didn’t really connect until later.
“I walked into his party, and I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I don’t know a single soul at this party.’ But I was like, ‘It’s OK, I just wanna celebrate him. It’s his 50th birthday,’” she explained. “And so I’m talking to my friend, and he looks past me, and he sees David across the room. And he is like, ‘There’s someone here you have to meet.’”
She continued, “I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I wanna meet him.’ And then we actually didn’t meet that night because it was, like, you know, a sit-down dinner [with] separate tables. My friend was like, ‘Wait, wait, wait. I wanted to introduce you to David!’ I’m like, ‘You know what, just have him email me.’”
Britton headed home to put her son to bed and received an email from Windsor the very next day.
