Selena Gomez Gets Her Flirt On in Risqué ‘Love On’ Lyrics
Selena Gomez went from “Single Soon” to “Love On.” The singer released her first single of 2024 this evening, which strays far from the pre-breakup narrative of her last song. Instead, “Love On” captures the joy of flirting and finding new love.
Gomez teased the French influence of “Love On,” posting a preview video featuring couples kissing and French narration about discovering tender love. She also released the single at midnight Paris time, departing from her usual 12 A.M. ET release time.
Lyrically, “Love On” captures the feeling of finding a great connection—and gets a little risqué in its flirty verses. It also marks the first song Gomez has released since she went public with her and Benny Blanco’s relationship, six months into them privately dating, in December. Gomez has been open about how enamored she is with Blanco, declaring her love for him publicly as recently as Valentine’s Day last week.
