Margot Robbie Wears Stunning Off-The-Shoulder Custom Vivienne Westwood Gown

On Saturday, Margot Robbie attended the 13th Annual AACTA Award in Australia, one of the country’s biggest nights for film, continuing her record of amazing red carpet looks with a piece from Vivienne Westwood Couture. The gown was made from iridescent silver and pink crystal encrusted fabric that shimmered as she posed in front of the camera.

The gown featured a corseted bodice with an off-the-shoulder neckline, before segueing into a skirt that brushed the floor, ruching around her hips and bust. Her long blonde hair was down and parted in the middle, and she wore a natural makeup palette with pale pink lipstick.

The dress was inspired by a different gown that first appeared in the Vivienne Westwood Spring-Summer 1998 collection titled “Tied to the Mast.” That piece was called the “Pirate Bride” Long Cocotte gown and was covered in silver Swarovski crystal, according to a press release.

At the event, Robbie received the AACTA Trailblazer Award, which highlights the “achievements, abilities and successes of an Australian screen practitioner who inspires others with their portfolio of work.”

Robbie is herself Australian, of course, and was offered some of the country’s popular chocolate cookies, Tim Tams, on the red carpet. As a special twist, they were Barbie-themed in pink packaging. After receiving them, she exclaimed, “This is wild, I’m gonna keep this forever!”

During Barbie‘s big release last summer, Robbie attended event after event in outfits inspired by the Mattel toy that were put together by her stylist, Andrew Mukamal. On Monday, Mukamal posted that he and Robbie collaborated on a fashion book about the big tour.

Expected to come out in March, Barbie: The World Tour will chronicle their work together. In his post, the fashion stylist wrote, “This book is a labor of love, dedicated to all the Barbie lovers and fashion fans around the world.”
