Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Were Filmed Kissing at Midnight on New Year’s Eve
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce let a bit of Kansas City, Missouri, see their New Year’s kiss. The pair attended a party after Kelce’s game in the city on New Year’s Eve. Swift was dressed splendidly in a silver Clio Peppiatt minidress.
And when the clock struck midnight, fellow partygoers filmed their long, passionate first kiss of 2024 for all to see. You can watch the footage here on Instagram. Swift had her arms around Kelce and looked lost in the moment.
This is not Swift’s first time very publicly kissing a partner on New Year’s Eve. When 2013 started, her kiss with Harry Styles in New York City’s Times Square during New Year’s Rockin’ Eve was captured by bystanders, too.
Fans suspected later that she alluded to the moment in the lyrics of her Midnights song “Question…?”. She sang in it, “Can I ask you a question? / Did you ever have someone kiss you in a crowded room / And every single one of your friends was makin’ fun of you / But fifteen seconds later, thеy were clappin’ too? / Then what did you do?”
Swift and Kelce spent both Christmas and New Year’s Eve together. The couple started dating in July and have been more public with their relationship than Swift has been with many of her previous boyfriends.
Swift spoke to Time at the beginning of December about their choice not to be as private. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she said. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
