Beyoncé Makes Surprise Appearance at Renaissance Club Event in Brazil

On Thursday, Beyoncé surprised fans in Brazil with an appearance at a special screening of her film in Salvador, Brazil. She greeted them from the stage at a “Club Renaissance” after-party following the group seeing Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé. In videos posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, the crowd goes wild as she speaks to them.

“I came because I love you so much,” she says. “It was very important to me to be here— right here in Bahia. The renaissance is about freedom. It’s about beauty, joy, resilience, everything that you are about. I’m so honored to be here and so happy to see your beautiful faces. I love you so much.”

She added, “There’s nobody like y’all. You are one of one. Number one and the only one, Bahia!”

At one point, she tried to demand, “Everybody on mute,” in a moment posted in an Instagram Story by Brazilian entertainment website Hugo Gloss. But there was too much excitement in the room.

She went on to say to the audience, “It was very important to be here, right here.”

On Instagram, Beyoncé shared some photos from the night and her stunning ensemble, which was strapless dress of silver sequins with a looped cape that draped over her head before trailing to the ground. She posed with a Brazilian flag and a pair of black sunglasses in a few.

On Tuesday, it was announced that her concert film was being screened in 15 more countries, saying in a teaser, “Okay, okay. Y’all didn’t have to break my website. But I told y’all, the renaissance is not over.”

On Thursday, she changed her location on her bio to “Salvador, Bahia, Brazil” to tease her appearance, as well as an Instagram Story of her famous silver Renaissance horse on an airplane.
