Taylor Swift’s Friend Adds Fuel to the Theory That Travis Kelce Gave Her a Symbolic Opal Ring
During her birthday night, photos of Taylor Swift showing a new ring off to Keleigh Sperry went viral. Although it wasn’t an engagement ring, the big opal ring, which she wore on her right hand’s middle finger, sparked fan theories saying it may have been a gift from her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Sperry hinted that really was the case with one TikTok like.

In party photos that Swift shared, you can see the ring more clearly and that it appears to be an opal, Kelce’s birth stone as an October baby, surrounded by blue topaz, Swift’s birth stone.
This is something that TikToker @swiftieinkc brought up in her video, which Sperry liked. “This to me is giving gift,” the TikToker said. “It’s giving, ‘Look what he got me.’ It’s giving, ‘Look how beautiful this custom piece is.’”

Neither Swift nor Kelce has commented on the gift or what exactly Kelce did for Swift’s birthday. However, the singer did attend Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the New England Patriots yesterday with her father. She wore a hat with Kelce’s jersey number on it.
Page Six ran a report over the weekend claiming a source close to Kelce said he had asked Swift’s father for his blessing to propose to her. Swift and Kelce have only been dating since the summer, but a second Swift insider did gush about how happy she is with Kelce in contrast to her exes.
“Taylor is so in love,” that source said. “She just hasn’t been with a guy who is so excited and proud to be with her in so long. She’d gotten used to having to hide away and lay low whenever she’s been in a relationship.
“Calvin [Harris, the DJ Swift dated in 2015 and 2016] and Joe were BIG on hiding,” the insider continued. “So she followed their lead. But now she’s finally with someone who is appropriately like, ‘Holy shit, I’m with Taylor Swift! Awesome!’ and she’s so delighted that she gets to be out in the world.
“Don’t forget, this is a girl who made out with Harry Styles in Times Square [on New Year’s Eve 2012] and posted pictures of her fling [actor Tom Hiddleston, in 2016] wearing an ‘I heart TS’ T-shirt. Low key isn’t actually her preferred vibe. But when it’s been at the insistence of the guy she’s with, she’s gone along with it.”
