Fans Think Taylor Swift Shared Her Nickname for Travis Kelce at His Game
Taylor Swift watched Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Green Bay Packers from an enclosed, private suite on Sunday. That didn’t stop Swifties from trying to guess what she said in fan footage of her cheering for Kelce.
In the footage, they speculated that Swift was saying, “Come on Trav.” Trav as a nickname for Travis is an especially sweet pick, as Kelce revealed on his podcast, New Heights, last week that his nickname for Swift was Tay, an abbreviation of her first name as well.
Swift is planning to spend much more time with Kelce during her current two-month break from her Eras tour, a source told Entertainment Tonight last week. “Things between Travis and Taylor are going really well,” the source said. “Their relationship is progressing in a great way. Taylor is planning to spend a lot more time at Travis’ house in Kansas City while she is on a break from touring.”
“They’re both very excited to be together, and Travis is making sure that Taylor feels comfortable and at home,” the source continued. “They have mutual respect and admiration for one another, and their feelings for each other are sincere.”
A source close to Kelce told People on November 27 that those close to Kelce are “shocked” that his romance with Swift has unfolded the way it has. “Travis’ friends think this is the real deal for him,” the source said. “They’re still a little shocked by all of it—that he’s dating the Taylor Swift, but they’ve seen how down to earth she is with his friends and family.” Their relationship is “growing,” the source added, in part because of their similar work ethics and values.
“They’re both really hard workers, and he acknowledges her art is hers, and he has what’s his,” the source said. “He understands the territory their relationship comes with and, like he said, isn’t letting any of the hoopla impact how they’re growing together.”
In People’s cover story on Swift released today, the outlet spoke to The National’s Aaron Dessner, who has worked with Swift for years. He gave more insight into just how normal she is, despite her mega fame. “I’ve spent a lot of time with her, and I’ve never seen anyone wait on her,” he said. “When I have stayed at her house, Taylor herself was cooking everyone breakfast and dinner. She’s legitimately just a very down to earth and hard-working person.”
