How Taylor Swift Showed Support for Travis Kelce After Skipping His Record-Setting Germany Game

Taylor Swift didn’t fly to Germany to watch Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs play on Sunday, ahead of her own Eras tour starting up again on Thursday in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Instead, the singer spent her weekend in New York City, having a girls’ night out with Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Sophie Turner, Cara Delevingne, and Brittany Mahomes on Saturday.

But Kelce—and his record-setting game performance—was on her mind. Celebrity news fan account Pop Faction pointed out that Swift liked People’s Instagram about Kelce becoming the Chiefs’ new all-time leading receiver, as seen below:

This is Swift’s first show of support for Kelce on Instagram.

It comes a little over a week after People reported that Swift and Kelce’s relationship is less casual now. “It’s quickly turning more serious,” the source said. “They share a strong work ethic and have a huge appreciation for life and their careers, strong family bond and values. [He is] sweet, goofy and just a blast to be around.”

Kelce and the Chiefs are now beginning their bye week, meaning they have no game scheduled. Entertainment Tonight reported in mid-October that Kelce was planning to join Swift in Argentina during this time to take in her concert.

“Travis and Taylor are all in,” the source said on October 19. “The two are very into each other and are enjoying their time together but are also planning for the future. Taylor starts her international tour in November, and Travis is planning to be there to spend time with her. Travis and Taylor are very serious about their careers, and the two bond over that and want to show support for each other whenever they can.”
