Watch Olivia Rodrigo Duet With Sheryl Crow at 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

On Friday, November 3, Sheryl Crow invited Olivia Rodrigo to join her on stage at Barclays Center for the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The pair dueted on one of Crow’s biggest hits, “If It Makes You Happy.”

After stepping off stage, Rodrigo told Billboard, “It was an honor to join Sheryl on stage and I am so excited for her to be inducted into the RRHOF! I am a massive fan of hers and her incredible songwriting. She’s equally as kind as she is talented and I feel so lucky that I was able to be part of celebrating such a legend.”

For the red carpet, Rodrigo wore a little black dress from Valentino with a scalloped halter neckline featuring a fabric rose at the top. She wore it with a pair of black open toe platform heels with straps around her ankles. Her hair was down in gentle waves and she had on a bright red lip.

Crow and Rodrigo have sung the tune together before, appearing in September at the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville. Rodrigo shared a clip from the night, writing in the caption, “pinch me! sang one of my favorite songs of all time with the greatest of all time @sherylcrow !!!! what an honor!!!!”

On Thursday, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Crow called Rodrigo “the real deal.”

“She’s precious,” said Crow. “She’s a great songwriter,” adding that she “seems kind of unaffected by [fame].”

She went on to explain how the Rock Hall performance came about.

“She’s super cool,” said Crow. “[Rodrigo] asked me to do this thing when she came to Nashville. So I texted her and said, ‘Hey, would you do the Rock Hall with me?’ And she’s like, ‘I would love to, I would be so honored.’”

Crow also sang a song on Friday with fellow Hall of Famer Stevie Nicks, choosing her tune “Strong Enough,” before inviting Peter Frampton to join both she and Nicks for “Everyday Is a Winding Road.”
