Jennifer Lopez Wears White Wrap Coat With Jewel Green Gown to Friend’s Birthday Party

On Saturday night, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck headed to Australian model and actress Pia Miller’s 40th birthday party in Los Angeles. The Marry Me performer was wearing a white wraparound coat cinched in at the waist with a white belt. Underneath, the scalloped hem of her asymmetrical satin skirt swirled around her ankles in a bright jewel shade of green.

She left her hair down in waves and carried a gold clutch purse. She wore matching green sandal heels, and held onto Affleck’s arm as they walked toward the venue. The Batman actor had on a black suit over a white button-down shirt, which was open at the collar. Miller and her husband Patrick, who is a chairman of Endeavor Talent Agency, are longtime friends of the couple and attended their wedding in 2022.

In November 2022, a few months after her marriage, Lopez talked with Vogue about the ways in which she is surprisingly traditional and legally taking on her husband’s name.

“People are still going to call me Jennifer Lopez,” she explained. “But my legal name will be Mrs. Affleck because we’re joined together. We’re husband and wife. I’m proud of that. I don’t think that’s a problem.”

When asked if she ever considered asking him to be Mr. Lopez, J.Lo laughed and said, “No! It’s not traditional. It doesn’t have any romance to it. It feels like it’s a power move, you know what I mean? I’m very much in control of my own life and destiny and feel empowered as a woman and as a person. I can understand that people have their feelings about it, and that’s okay, too. But if you want to know how I feel about it, I just feel like it’s romantic. It still carries tradition and romance to me, and maybe I’m just that kind of girl.”
