Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Were Photographed on a Date at a Kansas City Steakhouse
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spent their Monday together in Kansas City, Missouri, and their evening having a date at a steakhouse; The Daily Mail obtained photos of Swift and Kelce leaving their dinner at Piropos. Kelce drove his Rolls-Royce over, and the restaurant stayed open past its 9 P.M. closing time to accommodate the couple. They were there for two hours, the outlet reported.
They held hands while walking to Kelce’s car, and Kelce opened the car door for Swift. He was dressed in a blue Celine tracksuit for the dinner, while Swift was in a tan leather jacket, miniskirt, and boots. Photos were taken in the dark, so her full outfit wasn’t as clearly visible as Kelce’s, and he shielded her from the camera. See the photos here.
Meanwhile, a source close to Swift spoke to the Daily Mail about how much she admires Kelce and his career. “Taylor loves going to his games,” that source claimed. “She really enjoys them, and she thinks it is beyond sexy that he does what he does.”
The source notably used the word “boyfriend” to describe Kelce’s relationship status, one of the first times a source has done so. (Though Kelce was filmed doing a fist pump in response to someone calling him Swift’s boyfriend on Sunday.) “This is such new territory for her,” that source said. “She wants to support her boyfriend, and she does.”
Kelce, who has not lost a single Kansas City Chiefs game since Swift first went to one, sees her as a “lucky charm,” the source furthered.
“Since Taylor has been coming to the games, the Chiefs have won the past four consecutive games, and Travis is telling Taylor that she is his lucky charm,” the source said. “She literally brings light into the stadium with her. His teammates have joked that she is their unofficial mascot. She has such a massive following that, since he started seeing her, all the team’s social media accounts have exploded… People are buying Chiefs tickets in the hopes of seeing Taylor, and she knows this.”
A source also told Peopleon October 16 that Swift and Kelce were really giving dating a shot. “She’s the biggest star in the world, and it’s no secret dating an athlete is very tough, but they’ve been texting and talking on the phone between the pockets of time they get to spend with each other,” the source said.
“There’s not some looming date like, ‘Oh, she’s going back on tour,’ and ‘his football schedule is getting crazy,’” the source continued. “They’ll figure it out. He’s said it himself, he knows what he signed up for with this attention, but they’ve spent time under the radar too. They’re giving things a real try.”
