Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Seen Being ‘Affectionate’ in Canouan During Caribbean Vacation

Following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s trip to New York City last week, the couple didn’t just fly back to Montecito, California. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex instead opted to take a private vacation in the Caribbean.

The Daily Mail ran a photo it obtained from a passerby of Meghan and Harry holding hands on Friday while out in Canouan, a small island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The couple had left a gourmet food store inside the Sandy Lane Yacht Club and Marina in Glossy Bay, per the outlet.

Meghan and Harry both wore white, Meghan in an ivory sleeveless maxi dress and a matching sun hat. Harry wore a white T-shirt and black shorts. Their children Lilibet and Archie were not with them.

The eyewitness spoke to the outlet about what Meghan and Harry were like on the trip, describing them as being “affectionate.”

“They looked happy,” the source said. “As Harry walked out of the shop, he slightly bumped into one of the barrels [outside], and they both giggled and Meghan reached for his hand. They just looked very happy to be having a holiday together.”

Their getaway comes after Meghan and Harry spoke last week about parenting and their relationship. Meghan touched on her worries for her children growing up in the social media age and just how much she loves her family.

“Being a mom is the most important thing in my entire life…outside of course, being a wife to this one,” she said, looking over at Harry with a smile, per Hello!. “But I will say I feel fortunate that our children are at an age, again quite young, so this isn’t in our immediate future, but I also feel frightened by how it’s continuing to change, and this will be in front of us. They say being a parent, the days are long, but the years are short. So it worries me, but I’m also given a lot of hope and a lot of energy by the progress we’ve made in the past year.”
