Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater Are ‘Still Very Excited’ About Their New Relationship

In July, it was revealed that Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater had begun a relationship, shortly after they each ended their respective marriages. With the dust settling and Grande’s divorce officially behind her, the new couple is reportedly doing very well. A source told Entertainment Tonight that they’re “on the same page” and “still very excited about their relationship.”

“Ariana thinks Ethan is ridiculously talented, likes that they can relate to each other and that he challenges her, artistically speaking,” the insider added. “Ethan wants the best for Ariana and for themselves as a couple. They support and elevate one another.”

Grande’s divorce from former husband Dalton Gomez was finalized this month and TMZ reported they stuck with their prenup. No spousal support was awarded to Gomez, but he did receive $1,250,000, tax-free, and half of the net proceeds from the sale of their home in Los Angeles.

A source told Page Six, “Ariana and Dalton really wanted to take care of each through all of this and make it as easy on one another as possible—which is why they really took their time with everything.”

The insider added, “They have a strong mutual respect for eachother.”

Another source told TMZ, “There is still a strong mutual love and respect between Ariana and Dalton and they wanted to make sure everything was done right in lockstep with one another.”

Slater filed for a divorce from his ex, Lily Jay, in July. The former couple were married in 2018 and welcomed a child last year. The source speaking with ET stated that he is “invested in developing his relationship with Ariana and her family” while still being “a hands-on dad.”

The source continued, “Ariana’s family is of course, protective of her, but as long as she is happy and treated well, they will continue to support their relationship.”
