What Selena Gomez and DJ Fred Were Really Like at Dinner That Sparked Dating Rumors

On Thursday night, Selena Gomez was seen with English DJ and record producer Fred Again at Barney’s Beanery in West Hollywood, and her fans are wondering if she has a new love interest. However, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the meet up seemed more platonic. Gomez also shared a shot of herself with Fred on her Instagram Story, a selfie where she’s sticking her tongue out and smiling with the musical artist.

The pair apparently met around 7 pm, sitting across from one another, and left about and hour and a half later. Gomez was approached by some fans for selfies and obliged. The DJ is planning to tour in the UK in September and then in North American in October, stopping in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles.

The Rare Beauty founder has talked fairly recently about being single, specifically in the “Why I’m Single” game on TikTok last month, and she is making new music. So her and Fred might have only a business relationship. It was also rumored in July that she was possibly seeing The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White, but he was recently photographed kissing model Ashley Moore.

In June, she unfollowed former One Direction member Zayn Malik, who it was rumored she was dating that month. Gomez also joked on TikTok that month about being single while watching a soccer game in a park with friends.

She also likes to do audio lip syncs to sounds about being single, like the one where she mouths, “Guys, I figured out the reason I’m single. Apparently, you have to go outside and meet people. Like, you actually have to go outside and talk to them. It’s gonna be a no for me.”

It looked like it was filmed alone in her kitchen, so she’s staying true to her word.
