Jennifer Lopez Marked Her 54th Birthday by Posing in White Lingerie

Last year, Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 53rd birthday by sharing a photo of herself in her birthday suit for JLo Beauty. This year, Lopez rang in her 54th year with another sultry shot, featuring her in white Intimissimi lingerie. “Getting ready to celebrate ????????” wrote Lopez, who is an ambassador for the brand.

Lopez hasn’t shared full details yet about how she celebrated her big day, although she did repost other people’s birthday tributes to her on her Instagram Story.

In a December 2020 JLo Beauty interview, Lopez spoke very candidly to ELLE about how she reacts to being told she looks great at 50. “You never want to hear you look great for 50,” she began. “They want to just hear you look great, no matter what age you are. And for me and for the company, that is a big part of it. We don’t want people going, you look great for 60, 50, 40, 35. You want people to just go, wow, you look amazing. That’s part of our goal—to help everybody feel they look amazing no matter what age they are ,so we don’t have to hear about that so much. It doesn’t become such a big deal. ‘Oh my God, she’s 50.’ It’s like, does it matter? You’re just your best self, no matter what.”

She added that she has a daily mantra she says to keep her feeling young. “Every day, I say I am youthful and timeless at every age,” she said. “I live a beautiful adventurous life with my children, and we’re all in perfect health, always. All of these great things you learn to say to yourself so there’s this positive self-talk in your head really does create a beautiful person on the inside who maintains a beautiful person on the outside.”
