Ariana Grande Liked an Instagram Post About Never Dating Someone You Fear Amid Dalton Gomez Divorce

Ariana Grande hasn’t commented on reports of her and Dalton Gomez’s divorce herself, but eagle-eyed fans noticed she liked a very telling Instagram with relationship advice that may hint at what she is going through. Celebrity news fan account Pop Faction noted that Grande had “recently” double-tapped psychotherapist Terri Cole’s January 18 Instagram, which reads, “Never again will I be in a relationship with someone I fear.”

Cole wrote in her caption:

In my twenties, I was in a codependent relationship where I had emotional fear of my partner because they were jealous and possessive. I had my 50% of what was going on in this relationship because I was being codependent with them, but I still had fear and seemed to endlessly walk on eggshells.

After that relationship ended, I vowed: never again will I be in a relationship with someone I fear.

That was an important internal boundary for me, and I held to it.

Of course, my own downloaded blueprint played a part in this. My mother, my sisters, and I were all afraid of my father. We walked on eggshells around him because we didn’t want to do anything to inspire his disapproval.

Can you relate? If you can, I put together a guide to assess where your need to walk on eggshells might come from. Check out this week’s podcast episode for more info.

Earlier this week, Us Weekly reported that Grande was focused on putting her romantic relationship with Gomez behind her. “Ariana’s determined to move forward,” a source said, adding that those close to Grande are “‘happy’ about the steps she is taking in her personal life.”

“As sad as it is, the consensus on both sides is that this is ultimately for the best,” the source said. “Ariana and Dalton are two very different people.”

A different source suggested to Us Weekly yesterday that, despite Gomez dating other people, he does want Grande back. “Dalton has been devastated by it,” the source said. “A separation is not what he’s wanted. He wanted the fairy tale, happy ending, and it’s not looking that way.”

A second source said that Grande is fine with Gomez dating other people. “She just wants to move forward and has no hard feelings about their breakup.”
