Kelis Responds to Bill Murray Dating Rumors in the Most Unbothered Way Possible

The internet nearly imploded last week when rumors surfaced alleging a romance between rapper Kelis and actor Bill Murray. But Kelis remains unfazed, as evidenced by an Instagram comment she posted over the weekend.

When a fan commented on her recent post, “Ma’am would you care to address these Bill Murray allegations?!? Cuz damn! What he doing with all that?!?” Kelis simply responded, “lol no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all.”

And why would she? From the looks of her recent Instagram Stories, she’s enjoying a sunny beach getaway. She has better things to do.

The dating rumor frenzy began when The Sun claimed on Thursday that Kelis and Murray “struck up an unlikely romance.” They were even photographed together after her show in London. A source told the outlet that the pair had “met up in the States before,” which reportedly fueled romance speculation within the industry. Nevertheless, the unlikely pairing sparked myriad reactions online, ranging from pure shock to disappointment, as Murray has been accused of misconduct by co-stars.

Murray, 72, was previously married to Jennifer Butler, but they divorced in 2008. Butler passed away in 2021. Kelis, 43, was married to photographer Mike Mora since 2014. He died in March 2022 due to stomach cancer. Marking the one year anniversary of his death, Kelis shared a statement about her grief a few months ago.

“I’m a very private person generally, especially when there is family involved. But there is no denying the impact and evolution my husbands passing has had on my life,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

She and Mora share a 2-year-old daughter, Galilee, and 7-year-old son, Shepherd.
