Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet Are Reportedly ‘Trying to Keep’ Their Romance ‘Low-Key’
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s quiet reported romance remains mostly quiet—and on purpose. A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how Chalamet and Jenner are deliberately keeping their relationship on the low.
They’re “casually seeing each other, but are trying to keep it low-key,” the source said. “They are becoming more comfortable with each other, but Kylie wants to take things day by day and see where it goes. Her family thinks it’s great that Kylie is doing her thing and they are supportive.”
“Timothée loves that Kylie is such a hands-on mom and a boss,” the source continued. “He appreciates her confidence and thinks she’s incredibly beautiful.”
One complication in their burgeoning relationship may be Jenner’s ex Travis Scott’s feelings. Scott and Jenner have an on-off relationship and share two children, Stormi and Aire.
“Travis is not thrilled about Kylie moving on, but they are still cordial and focused on co-parenting and being the best parents they can be,” Entertainment Tonight‘s source said. Jenner and Scott’s most recent breakup was reported by outlets in January.
Shortly before news of Chalamet and Jenner’s romance came out, a source told Us Weekly that Jenner and Scott’s friends still believed they’d reconcile.
On April 6, the source said, “Kylie’s friends genuinely don’t believe that her and Travis are done for good. They’ve always had an on-and-off relationship, so this is nothing new to them. They truly feel like the love is still there and that they’ll find their way back to each other again.”
Although Scott isn’t overjoyed with Jenner’s new relationship, her family is actually glad she is dating someone else. “Everyone wants Kylie to move on,” a Jenner source told People on April 19. “Everyone in the family is happy and supportive of Kylie dating.”
When Scott and Jenner’s most recent breakup was reported at the beginning of the year, a source told People that it had “never been an easy relationship.”
Jenner “flips out” any time cheating rumors emerge, the source said. “There is a reason that they never got married. It’s always been very up and down. And they have never even lived together. They have always had separate homes.”
The source attributed their split to Scott and Jenner having different priorities then: “Kylie is very focused on her kids and her business. She is not a big partier. Travis is the opposite. He likes to party. They definitely have different focuses. They always did.”
