Chrishell Stause Reveals She and G Flip Secretly Got Married
Selling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause made a relatively understated marriage announcement. The 41-year-old realtor revealed that she and her partner, 28-year-old Australian singer G Flip, had quietly tied the knot while promoting Flip’s new song “Be Your Man.” She posted a collage of personal footage from throughout their relationship, ending with a photo of them from their wedding.
People confirmed that the couple did indeed wed after a year of dating.
“Love doesn’t always go as planned… Sometimes it’s immeasurably better,” Stause wrote. “Be Your Man is out now & linked in stories. If you ever get the pleasure of meeting G, know that you are meeting one of the kindest, funniest & most talented hard working people out there. Please go stream! I love you so much @gflip ❤️????”
Flip commented, “My darling, I adore and love you with all my heart. These are the sweetest words and this is cutest little edit ???????????? You make me so happy ❤️ thank you x.”
A source told People, “They found love together in an unexpected place but nothing has ever felt more real to them.”
Stause and Flip met in October 2021 while both were in other relationships. They later connected romantically, with Stause announcing they were seeing each other last May. They began dating on March 15, they would later reveal.
The couple reflected on their first kiss in a January 2023 interview with Vogue Australia. Stause had invited Flip, who had just moved to Los Angeles, to a party she was having in February 2022.
“I rocked up to Chrishell’s party totally by myself and I forced myself to talk to people and make friends,” Flip said, adding, “Chrishell got stood up and then we ended up kissing.”
“But I definitely still thought I was straight at that party!” Stause said, noting she had kissed friends before “but more for the guys’ reaction. I had no issue doing something like that, but in my head I [didn’t think I] could have a meaningful relationship with somebody …” Stause even apologized to Flip for being straight when they asked her on a date.
But Flip and Stause met again later over business, with Stause helping Flip rent a house in Los Angeles. Stause noticed crush feelings develop, despite having signed up for a dating show to find a male partner. “[It] opened my brain up to the fact that I’m attracted to energy, not whatever physical thing that people have in their head. I don’t have a type, so I took that idea to the dating show and we reworked it.” They started dating casually. Ultimately, Stause fell for Flip and pulled out of the dating show.
“It was the best ‘no’ I’ve ever given,” Stause said. “That would’ve been a great opportunity to find someone. But this is what I was trying to find.”
