Priyanka Chopra Jonas Put a Modern Spin on Marilyn Monroe’s Iconic White Halter Dress
Priyanka Chopra Jonas brought a little old Hollywood to her Love Again press tour, channeling Marilyn Monroe’s iconic white halter dress from The Seven Year Itch while arriving to The View’s set in New York City. Chopra Jonas wore an ankle-length silhouette with a plunging neckline by Proenza Schouler; she styled her hair down. The actress accessorized with Jennifer Fisher hoop earrings, white heels, and white-rimmed sunglasses.
Chopra Jonas has been doing press for Love Again and her Amazon Prime series Citadel. For Love Again, she’s been leaning into more rom-com-worthy ensembles. Her giant Cinderella blue bow dress she wore to the premiere, in particular, got major media coverage.
The actress recently spoke to ELLE about her life as a mother to her and her husband Nick Jonas’ one-year-old daughter Malti. “She’s got me wrapped around her finger,” Chopra Jonas admitted. “I don’t even know how I’ll ever discipline her because I just don’t have it in me. I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything and I just want to see her happy. I want her to be the happiest. She’s a super smiley, happy baby, and that’s all my goal is—to see her joyous. Every time she smiles, it lights up my world, and that’s all I want to do.”
As for what has surprised her about being a mother, Chopra Jonas said, “Just how much you can love something and how viciously you’ll protect it. I’ve seen my mom rip people when I’ve been hurt and I just never understood it. I was like, ‘Mom, chill out. What are you doing?’ Now I get it. I would take someone out.”
