The Best Photos of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at King Charles’ Coronation

Despite their young ages, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte and five-year-old Prince Louis joined their parents Kate Middleton and Prince William and older brother Prince George, 9, for their grandfather King Charles’ coronation. And of course, Charlotte and Louis were well-dressed and not without their own charming and candid, honest-kid moments caught on camera, from Charlotte holding Louis’ hand when they entered to Louis looking up at the ceiling during the service.

Charlotte wore a flower crown and white dress to the coronation, complementing her mother’s look. Louis was in navy. Their older brother George is playing a role in the ceremony as Page of Honour, meaning he has a set uniform.

Charlotte, Louis, and George attended rehearsal for the coronation on Wednesday. The day after, Kate spoke about her children’s feelings about the coronation versus her own.

During Kate and William’s visit to Dog & Duck Pub in London’s Soho, Kate discussed the matter with Mandy Leifheit of Seattle, Washington, who shared the conversation with People.

“I asked if the kids were excited about the coronation, and she said, ‘They’re very excited. They had their rehearsal yesterday [Wednesday] so they knew what they’d expect,’” Leifheit said.

“She said she’s more nervous than the kids are since it’s such a big event for the kids to be part of. She said Louis will be there and that he’ll remember it,” Leifheit continued. She had generally glowing things to say about Kate and the impression she took away from their conversation: “It was a dream. She’s amazing. She’s so real and so natural—and this would be overwhelming but it’s not and she’s here.”
