Emily Ratajkowski Wore a See-Through Corset With Black Lingerie and a Micro Dress to Met Gala After Parties

Emily Ratajkowski took full advantage of the Met Gala after-party scene and showed off two very fun, flirty takes on party attire. The model was photographed by paparazzi wearing a see-through black corset dress, with her black underwear underneath visible. Notably, she wore a personalized “EmRata” belt with the look.

And it didn’t stop there. For another after-party, Ratajkowski wore a very short sheer purple sequin micro dress. She shared a carousel of the looks on Instagram, writing, “Apres Met.” Both the black ensemble and purple one were included in the series of photos.

While many celebrities chose to wear lingerie as part of their ensembles to the Met Gala and its subsequent after parties, EmRata has spoken thoughtfully about how she feels her sexualized image contributes to the culture at large.

In an October interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Ratajkowski discussed whether she feels responsible for how her image online may affect young women. She said, “I completely understand that sexualizing myself and putting images out into the world that reinforce the beauty standard is difficult. I’m not trying to shake accountability. But I also don’t think I would have sold as many books had I not done that. That’s the way the world works. I mean, we all participate in systems that we don’t agree with.”

She added that she wasn’t sure that she could really change a systemic problem. “I don’t know [if there’s anything more I can do],” she said. “If I personally stopped posting pictures of myself, would that change anything?”

“I want to be able to have fun with how I present myself in the world without feeling like I’m a bad feminist or a good feminist,” Ratajkowski added. “Duh. I don’t want to be a part of your club if you don’t want to have me. It’s fine!”
