Language is one of the IDENTITIES of a People. Ambassador Uhomoibhi, is a full blooded Esan man that exhibits and promotes all the identities of the people of Esan, especially not just in speaking the Esan language, but in writing it as well.

The Esans primarily speak Esan language. Esan language is:-
>>Considered a regionally important language in Nigeria.
>> Taught in primary schools in addition to being broadcast on Radio and Television stations.
>>>Recognised in the Census of the United Kingdom.
It is estimated that Esan people who reside in Esan land number about 1 million to 1.5 million citizens in Nigeria, and there is a strong Esan Diaspora.
This is how important and strong the ESAN LANGUAGE, which is one of the shared identities of the Esan people is.
Ambassador Uhomoibhi, a homegrown individual, born and grew in Ewatto, Esan South East. Schooled in Ewatto and Benin.
Amb. Prof. Uhomoibhi is a widely travelled and Internationally connected figure. He has an Esan identity that still strongly connects him to his roots. He says; *"MY IDENTITY IS ME"*.
