Cardi B and Offset Pack on the PDA at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Cardi B and Offset looked very much in love at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night. The couple arrived together to the Beverly Hills celebration—her dressed in a fiery veiled Robert Wun gown and him in a sleek black suit—and shared a kiss in front of cameras.

Cardi also took a moment to pose for some solo glamour shots in her ruched, body-hugging gown.

It marked a glam night out for the rappers and parents, even though Offset said their ideal date would be at McDonald’s. (The couple are behind the chain’s latest celebrity meal, the first couple to do so.) “Let me tell you, McDonald’s is date night done right,” he said in a statement, per People. “It doesn’t have to be all boujee. Get your date, grab some good food, and have fun, that’s it.”

The couple, who married in 2017, have two children together: Kulture, 4, and Wave, 1. But their relationship has not been without its challenges. In 2020, Cardi filed to divorce Offset but then called it off because “he changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me,” she explained in a January 2023 interview.

Back in 2020, Cardi opened up to ELLE about her relationship with Offset and the public scrutiny of their marriage. “I don’t really like talking about love much, but I feel like I have to do it, just because I want people to know a little bit,” she said in our August 2020 cover story. “There’s always rumors about me and my husband, and I feel like people would rather start rumors because they want me to be heartbroken. They want me to be hurt.”

Still, she added, there’s a lot of “trust” and “friendship” between the two of them. “I do know that my relationship has a lot of drama and everything,” she said. “But there’s a lot of love there’s a lot of passion, there’s a lot of trust, there’s a big friendship. It’s always us against the world.”

And regardless of what people are saying, she’ll choose to reveal the truth the way she does best: in her music. “If you all are so curious to know about my relationship and blah, blah, blah, I’m going to put it in the fuckin’ music, and you can buy it, too,” she added. “I’m not going to give it to you all for free.”
