Selena Gomez Ends TikTok Silence to Praise Lizzo After Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner Drama

Ten days after Selena Gomez announced she was taking a break from TikTok and said she’d return “sooner than later,” she’s back in the comments. Gomez showed a little love to Lizzo, commenting a blue heart on the singer’s TikTok where she showed off her blue hair and lip-synced to Gomez’s famous 2007 Teen Vogue party audio (when Gomez had just a single strand of blue hair).

Lizzo commented back a blowing kiss emoji.

Many of Lizzo’s other comments were from fans praising her for showing support of Gomez. Gomez’s comment did not address the #teamselena commentary going on as the platform dissects how Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, and others have treated her.

When Gomez briefly quit TikTok after her comments on the alleged “mean girl” bullying made news, she said she was “too old” for the drama.

“I’m very happy, I’m so blessed, I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world, and I just couldn’t be happier,” she said. “And I’m good. I love the way I am. I don’t care, I’m big, I’m not—I don’t care. I love who I am. And yeah, I’m gonna be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly. And I’m 30, I’m too old for this, so. But I love you guys so much! And I will see you guys sooner than later, I just… I’m just gonna just take a break from everything.”

Neither Jenner, Bieber, nor Gomez have commented on the drama since. Gomez remained active on Instagram this past week and gained over 10 million followers.
