Gisele Bündchen Liked and Left a Comment on Ex Tom Brady’s Retirement Post

Tom Brady announced he is officially retiring from football again, for real this time, in a video message this morning. Celebrities were quick to share their support of the quarterback legend, and even ex-wife Gisele Bündchen left a little message for Brady. She liked the post and wrote, “Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life ????????.” It’s a very small and telling look at their dynamic now.

Brady, 45, first retired a year ago, then infamously un-retired. His performance this season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been among his worst. But Brady’s decision to keep playing football cost him more than just his winning record. It also factored into the health of his marriage, with Bündchen, who put her own modeling career on the sidelines to support him for years with the sport, ultimately calling it quits with him. Their divorce was finalized the day it was filed on October 28, 2022.

On January 24, People reported that Bündchen is doing pretty well post-split. She and Brady were married for 13 years and share 12-year-old son Benjamin and 10-year-old daughter Vivian.

Bündchen is “starting over in a good frame of mind,” the source said, adding that she feels “confident, strong and better than she has in a long, long time.”

“She knows she made the right decision in her life, and is focused on her career and her kids,” the source continued.

Bündchen spoke to ELLE in an interview published in September that she is looking forward to prioritizing her own career now. “I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom],” she said. (When the interview was conducted, they were still together.) “I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams. Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career—it makes me happy. At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that.”

Now, she said, she’s centering herself: “I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do. At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose.” Bündchen was photographed on set of a fashion shoot earlier this week, clear proof her modeling career is one thing she is prioritizing.
