Katy Perry’s Adoring Post to Fiancé Orlando Bloom’s Ex Miranda Kerr Is Blended Family at Its Best

Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr, Orlando Bloom’s fiancé and ex-wife, showed you really can be friends with your partner’s ex in the right circumstances.

Perry posed with and honored Kerr at the G’Day USA Art gala in Los Angeles over the weekend. She shared a gushing Instagram post to Kerr too to mark the occasion.

In the tribute to Kerr, Perry wrote, “I loved celebrating my fav ????????Aussie Aussie Aussie ???????? (oi oi oi!) & sister from another mister ???? @mirandakerr the other night @gdayusa Art’s Gala. congrats on the honor, I love our modern family & I love @koraorganics Turmeric Glow Moisturizer so much i dressed like it ✨ also thank u for introducing me to celery juice I just thought they were those veg stick things I stir me Bloody Mary’s with ????????‍♀️”

In her own post, Kerr thanked Perry for the singer’s support. “Such an honour to be recognized by the @_aaausa for excellence in the arts,” Kerr wrote. “Last night’s @gdayusa event was so much fun celebrating the strong partnership between the US and Australia. A huge congratulations to my fellow honourees @thekidlaroi and Sam Worthington. And a big thank you to @katyperry for her kind and heartfelt words ????????❤️????”

Bloom and Kerr, who were married from 2010 to 2013, share 12-year-old son Flynn. Bloom and Perry have been engaged since February 2019 and welcomed their first child, daughter Daisy, in 2020.

In September 2021, Kerr spoke on the podcast Ladies First with Laura Brown about how she and Perry were good friends who clicked immediately. Kerr is married to Evan Spiegel, who also gets along with Bloom.

“It’s incredible that [Orlando and I] have been able to find other partners who work really well with us,” Kerr said. “Evan and Orlando really get along just as well as Katy and I, so it’s such a blessing, and it doesn’t need to be any other way. It can be harmonious and you can be super kind.”

Kerr was introduced to Perry by Bloom in 2016, after he and Perry had first started dating. “We just clicked instantly so easily, like we had been friends before or something,” she said. “From day one, when Orlando and I separated, we have been very close, really good friends. I always have wanted the best for him, and he’s always wanted the best for me.”
