Anya Taylor-Joy Wore a Stunning Sheer Nude Dior Dress With Diamonds to the 2023 Critics Choice Awards

Anya Taylor-Joy is putting a classy yet flirty spin on awards show style. Just days after she kicked off the season in an attention-grabbing, ab-baring yellow bandeau and skirt at the Golden Globes, Taylor-Joy arrived at tonight’s Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles in another provocative look: a nude Dior Haute Couture A-line dress with strass embellishment. The Menu actress had her platinum hair styled up in an elegant top knot and wore Dior Beauty makeup. She accessorized with over 20 carats of Tiffany & Co. diamonds. She looked incredible, from head to (crystal-embellished shoe) toe:

Taylor-Joy posed solo on the red carpet and also with her partner Malcolm McRae, who attended the Golden Globes with her, too. Taylor-Joy was a presenter during tonight’s show.

Taylor-Joy spoke to USA Today in November a little about her downtime with McRae and her go-to comfort movie. “Almost Famous is like my ‘feel better about the world’ film,” she said. “I feel so, so bad for my partner—he’d never seen it and we put it on, and I could not help it. I stood next to the television and performed the entire film. I know it so well. He had to watch it by himself without me the next day so that it was an actually enjoyable experience.”

She also touched on her character Margot from The Menu‘s style and how she may have incorporated a little too much of herself into it. “I based Margot’s whole look in this movie off what I used to wear when I was 18: the nail color, the fact that it’s all chipped, the lipstick color, everything,” she said. “So I went out to dinner with a friend of mine the other night and she’s like, ‘Why are you dressed like your character from The Menu?’ It’s like, ‘Oh god, I gave her my identity! What do I do now!’ Unintentionally, I think sometimes I give characters too much of myself, and then it can seem like cosplay.”
