Amal Clooney Wears Strapless Gown In Every Shade of Spring Green

On Saturday night, Amal Clooney and George Clooney stepped out looking stunning as usual as they attended the 2022 Academy Museum Gala. Amal was wearing a strapless flowing gown by Del Core from their resort 2023 collection. The bodice and long skirt were created with panels of silk tulle in different green shades, creating an ethereal springtime feeling in the middle of autumn.

The panels met at the bust, forming cups around a strategic cutout that emphasized Amal’s gorgeous figure. The human rights lawyer was carrying a small green clutch and wearing a glittering bracelet and diamond drop earrings. She left her long hair down in luscious waves, and looked glamorous next to her husband, who was wearing a classic black tux.

Jacqueline Stewart, head of the Academy Museum, said of Roberts, “Over the course of her expansive and renowned career, Julia has embodied iconic characters and memorable roles. We are thrilled to be honoring her continued excellence in the industry and contribution to the art.”

Also receiving awards were Tilda Swinton, who was presented with the Visionary Award, which goes to “an artist or scholar whose extensive oeuvre has advanced the art of cinema.”

The Vantage Award went to director Steve McQueen as “an artist or scholar who has helped to contextualize and challenge dominant narratives around cinema.”

The event this year was co-chaired by Halle Berry and Lupita Nyong’o and two Academy Museum trustees, Jason Blum and Ryan Murphy.
