Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone Have Reportedly Broken Up Just Two Months After Her 25th Birthday

After four years of dating Leonardo DiCaprio, actress/model Camila Morrone, who celebrated her 25th birthday on June 16, will not become the first 26-year-old that the 47-year-old actor has dated. Multiple sources have told Us Weekly, E!, and People that the couple quietly broke up. Reps for DiCaprio and Morrone declined to comment on split news to People.

A source told Us that “[DiCaprio] has been attending events and going on vacations without [Morrone], from the Care Gala to Unicef Gala to Saint Tropez. He has been spending more time hanging out with all his pals like Tobey McGuire and Jamie Foxx.”

Morrone, meanwhile, has been “filming all summer,” a source said. Although DiCaprio and Morrone “were very close,” the source said, they hadn’t been seen together since July.

This was a serious relationship for both parties. In June 2020, a source told People that the two quarantined together. “He is usually very independent, spends lots of time with friends, but because of the lockdown, he has mostly spent time with Camila. He loves being with her,” the source said. “Leo has spent 24/7 with Camila for months at his house.”

E! got the last substantive update about the couple from a source in November 2021. They revealed that the pair was “closer than ever. They are really solid and everything is great with Leo and Cami. It’s all status quo.”

“Leo has even been showing more affection to Cami when they’re out,” the source added. “They look very happy and relaxed together.”

While neither discussed their romance in interviews, Morrone herself addressed their age gap in a December 2019 interview with The Los Angeles Times. “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood—and in the history of the world—where people have large age gaps,” she said, adding, “I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”

She also spoke about the attention her relationship with DiCaprio garnered. “I probably would be curious about it too,” she admitted, going on to explain that she was optimistic people would soon enough come to see her as an actress before DiCaprio’s then-girlfriend. “I think more and more now that people are seeing the film [Mickey and the Bear], I’m slowly getting an identity outside of that,” she said. “Which is frustrating, because I feel like there should always be an identity besides who you’re dating. … I understand the association, but I’m confident that will continue to slip away and be less of a conversation.”
