Edo Deputy Governor Retools Media Team for Better Performance – Nigerian Observer

Benin City – The Media Team, Office of Edo State Deputy Governor, has undergone a one – day training program to upscale members of the team with latest trend in news reportage and information management.

The re-tooling program themed “Reporting VIP in a Contemporary Media World” held in Benin City, the Edo State capital with experienced media professionals as resource persons.

In his opening remarks, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Deputy Governor, Comrade Ebomhiana Musa, noted that “journalism is very dynamic. We are in a changing world. Today, we are in the digital world. What informed this training is for you to be equipped with the latest trend in the digital world”.

Musa added: “This training is courtesy of His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, who believes so much in building human capacity and manpower development”.

“The resource persons are seasoned and experienced professionals in the print, broadcast and new media”.

The training program had in attendance, print and electronic media reporters; video and still camera operators as well as social media influencers that make up the Media Team of the Deputy Governor.

The resource persons were Emeka Ogbeide, Publisher, Midwest Tempo; Joy Olabisi Akpaida, Media Executive/Consultant and Amienye Omoregie, Head, Association of Social Media Influencers, Edo State.

The training program was graced by Hon. Imonofi Inusa, Chief of Staff and Mrs. Bose Igbinobaro, Permanent Secretary, both of Office of the Deputy Governor.
