Why Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet Didn’t Pose Together on the LACMA Art+Film Gala Red Carpet
THE RUNDOWN
- Kylie Jenner attended the 2026 LACMA Art+Film Gala on Saturday night but walked the red carpet without boyfriend Timothée Chalamet.
- Chalamet skipped the carpet, though he was photographed inside the event.
- The actor shared a glimpse of the evening from his perspective as well.
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet both attended the fashionable annual LACMA Art+Film Gala on Saturday night, but they didn’t make a joint red carpet appearance.
Jenner arrived solo, posing for photographers in a fun Ashi Studio gown, and Chalamet skipped the red carpet altogether. He was snapped inside the event on his own.
The couple posing separately is unsurprising given their history. Chalamet and Jenner rarely do red carpets together. Their last big event was the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March. (Chalamet arrived on his own at the Oscars earlier that night, and Jenner joined him inside the show.)
Chalamet offered a glimpse of his evening at the LACMA Art+Film Gala on his Instagram Story, though he kept it work-focused. He posted a photo of filmmaker and director Denis Villeneuve speaking onstage, with a still from Dune (in which Chalamet plays Paul Atreides) projected behind him. Dune: Part Three is set to release in theaters on December 18.
The actor was also photographed inside the gala seated alongside Villeneuve, one of the evening’s honorees; Villeneuve’s wife and producer Tanya Lapointe; and actress Nicole Kidman. The 15th annual event recognized Villeneuve alongside visual artist Vija Celmins. Chalamet was likely there to support the Dune director.
While it’s been months since Chalamet and Jenner made a joint red carpet appearance, one of their past outings inspired Lisa Rinna’s Halloween costume this year. Chalamet and Jenner wore matching custom Chrome Hearts ensembles at the Los Angeles premiere of Marty Supreme in December, and Rinna recreated Jenner’s look.
