Tom Holland has debuted his wedding ring—and he chose a style as timeless as his wife Zendaya’s.
Months after the actress was first spotted wearing her own minimalist gold wedding band in February, Holland flashed his own thicker hardware while on a walk with her in London on August 6.
It marked the couple’s first public sighting since reports broke that they had a private party to celebrate their wedding with friends and family on August 4. (In June, Holland confirmed the couple had secretly gotten married, though he didn’t share when.)
Holland, like Zendaya, chose a trend-proof wedding ring, multiple jewelers tell ELLE.
“This is about as classic as a men’s wedding band gets,” Hera Fine Jewelry founder and CEO Lauren Boc says. “At Hera, we lovingly call this style the ‘dad band’—not because it’s dated but because it’s so classic and truly stands the test of time. Everyone knows a dad who has one!”
“It’s an incredibly timeless choice—simple, substantial, and something that will never go out of style,” Olivia Landau, founder and CEO of The Clear Cut, adds.
Below, experts break down the details of Holland’s new ring and how it complements Zendaya’s.
Holland chose a 5 mm band in yellow gold.
Holland picked a wider band than his partner but in a very “classic” style, according to Boc and Landau.
They agree that it appears to be a 5 mm wedding band in yellow gold. Boc says it looks “half round,” adding, “I love this style—it’s elegant, simple and truly timeless.”
Landau believes it is also a comfort-fit band. “Tom’s wider width gives his ring a strong presence on the hand while still feeling understated and effortless,” she adds.
It likely costs around $2,000.
Landau believes Holland’s ring is 18K yellow gold. It’s a heavier gold weight—and as such, the price tag is a little higher than a 14K gold ring.
Boc explains, “Tom’s band looks like it has some heft to it, which I love—heavy gold is so luxurious. I would estimate the value at around $2,000 depending on the gold weight and exact width.”
The ring “mirrors” Zendaya’s own thinner yellow gold band.
Zendaya pairs her east-west diamond engagement ring with a yellow gold band. Jewelers previously told ELLE that its gold weight appears to be 18K, with Boc estimating that Zendaya’s band is 2.5 to 3 mm. “This width is understated but still has presence on her hand, and it matches the vintage feel of her engagement ring,” she said.
Boc and Landau see similarities between Holland’s and Zendaya’s wedding rings. “Their bands appear to have the same timeless half-round silhouette,” Boc says. “It goes with everything, and it will never go out of style!”
“I especially love that [his ring] mirrors Zendaya’s yellow gold band, but in a slightly wider proportion,” Landau adds. “Rather than wearing identical rings, they’ve chosen bands that feel connected while still being tailored to each of their individual styles.”
The classic style is trendsetting.
Both Holland’s and Zendaya’s classic gold wedding bands will undoubtedly influence other couples. As Landau explains, “There’s also something very modern about choosing such traditional wedding bands. We’ve seen so much experimentation in bridal jewelry over the past few years, but Tom and Zendaya are making a case for the ultimate classic: an unadorned yellow gold band.”
The rings show the two are in sync, too. “Together, their bands feel quietly coordinated rather than overly matched, which makes the choice feel even more personal,” Landau says.
