Agbodza Pushes Contractor to Deliver Dambai Bridge “On Time, On Budget, On Quality”

Minister for Roads and Highways Kwame Governs Agbodza has charged Maripoma Enterprise Limited, the contractor working on the Dambai Bridge, to ensure the project is completed on schedule, within budget and to the highest engineering standards.
During an inspection tour of the Oti Region on Wednesday, Mr. Agbodza underscored the strategic importance of the bridge, noting that it will significantly improve connectivity, ease the movement of people and goods, and boost economic activity in Dambai and neighbouring communities.
He urged the contractor to remain focused on timely delivery while strictly adhering to quality specifications, stressing that government expects the project to provide long‑term value for residents and road users.
Mr. Agbodza emphasised that the project is being financed solely by the Government of Ghana, making its successful execution a matter of national pride.
“We are doing this with our own resources. No amount of it is a loan we took from other countries, so Ghanaians must be proud that for once we are spending our own money to do something like this,” he said. “I think the contractors will be guided and help as much as possible to deliver on time, on budget and without compromising on the quality.”
The inspection forms part of the Minister’s nationwide tour to assess ongoing road and bridge projects and ensure contractors meet government expectations.
