Why Selena Gomez Sold Her Viral $3K Benny Blanco ‘B’ Ring for Just $12
Selena Gomez gave an important piece of her and fiancé Benny Blanco’s history away for less than $15—and it was no mistake.
The singer sold the “B” diamond ring she used to hard-launch her relationship with Blanco in December 2023 for $12 on her site as part of a giveaway celebrating the couple’s album release. The custom Jacquie Aiche piece is worth $3,250, a rep for the jeweler told Page Six on Dec. 8, 2023.
Gomez wore the sparkler on her left ring finger when she posted it on her Instagram Story. (Her custom marquise diamond engagement ring has now taken its place.)
TMZ confirmed one lucky fan bought the ring during the first day of Gomez’s 12 Days of Really Rare Stuff giveaway.

She announced the sweepstakes on Instagram last week, saying, “Since my new album with Benny, I Said I Love You First, is about our past, present, and future, I thought it would be fun to give away some ‘rare memories’ I’ve kept over the years every day until our album comes out. You’ve stuck with me for so long, and with this album, we wanted to do something special so stay tuned for updates. My day one fans will know where to look.”

Blanco spoke to Interview about the process of designing Gomez’s engagement ring, which ultimately replaced the B ring. Gomez told the outlet she dreamed of having a marquise diamond ever since she name-dropped the diamond in her song “Good for You.”
Blanco explained, “She showed me designs and I would always throw little hints. I’d be like, ‘Yeah, but if I ever made one, would you want it like this?’ And then she changed her mind halfway through. It used to have huge baguettes on the side and then she was like, ‘I don’t want something that big.’”
He added, “So now I have extra baguettes, and we’re going to make earrings for her. She basically has three wedding rings.”
