Why Kylie Jenner Didn’t Join Timothée Chalamet at ‘Saturday Night Live’

Timothée Chalamet hosted Saturday Night Live on January 25, promoting his project A Complete Unknown. The biopic stars Chalamet as musician Bob Dylan, and the actor performed as the musical guest as well, singing Dylan’s hits “Outlaw Blues,” “Three Angels,” and “Tomorrow Is a Long Time.”

He then headed to the sketch show’s afterparty, seemingly without his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner. The Kardashians star has accompanied Chalamet to Saturday Night Live before, joining him when he hosted for the second time in 2023. This time, Chalamet was seen wearing a New York Yankees bomber jacket, jeans, and a baseball hat, with a scarf around his neck as he headed alone to the post-episode event.

There’s no reported reason why Jenner was not at the comedy show taping, but on the same night, Jenner posted some shots in her Instagram Stories that look like they were taken on a girls’ night out. She tagged influencer Victoria Helena Villarroel in a photo of their Chanel purses. She also posted a shot of someone drinking her Sprinter brand drink at a different event. The Kylie Cosmetics founder has also been promoting her new clothing line, Khy, so she may simply be busy with business obligations and unable to make it to New York.

Jenner has been seen at more events with Chalamet, attending the 2025 Golden Globes with him, though she did not walk the red carpet. A source told Page Six at the time that she “didn’t want to make [the event] about them.”

“She wanted this night to be all about Timothée, how it was intended to be,” they added.

The award ultimately went to Adrien Brody for his role in The Brutalist, but Chalamet reportedly “felt a sense of comfort having Kylie there with him.”
