The Madison Season 2: Everything We Know
Fans of Yellowstone have found a new love in Taylor Sheridan’s latest series, The Madison. Following its March 14 premiere on Paramount+, the show ended on a high with the arrival of its last three episodes on Saturday, which left viewers wondering where the Clyburn family will end up next. But fans are in luck—a second season of The Madison has already been ordered thanks to Sheridan and the show’s star, Michelle Pfeiffer, meaning the new hit series might come back sooner rather than later.
Here’s everything we know about The Madison season 2 so far.
Has The Madison season 2 started filming?
Yes! The Madison season 2 has already wrapped its filming and production, after Paramount was convinced by Pfeiffer and Sheridan to do more than one season and shoot both installments back-to-back because of Kurt Russell’s filming schedule.
“I did the second season of Monarch [Legacy of Monsters], the Apple TV+ show, and unfortunately for me, the timing was when Madison came around,” Russell said in a January 2026 interview with Entertainment Weekly. “And I said, ‘There’s just no way to do it,’ because I was working on this show.”
“Michelle Pfeiffer and Taylor were able to get together with the people at Paramount+ and said, ‘Well, let’s do two seasons instead of just one,’” he added. “‘And then before we start the second season next year, instead of doing that, we will start with Kurt’s stuff. We really do want him to play the guy. And we’ll get his first season out of the way first, and jam all that in there, and then go into the second season and do that.’ And so we were able to do that.”
Ben Schnetzer, who stars in The Madison as Van Davis, told Woman’s World that filming for season 2 recently concluded.
“We shot season 2 already,” he told the outlet in an interview published March 13. “We just wrapped it not long ago, and I’m incredibly excited to share both seasons with an audience. It was a real thrill to be able to come back and revisit these characters and revisit this story, and revisit this beautiful landscape that we filmed in.”
Who is in the cast?
The cast for season 2 has not been confirmed yet, but expect the full set of players—Pfeiffer, Russell, Beau Garrett, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, and Rebecca Spence—to return, with one exception.
Matthew Fox confirmed that he will not be present in season 2 of The Madison, telling TV Insider on March 10, “This is a contained experience for me in the show, and I’m very happy about that…It’s been an incredible experience.”
When will season 2 of The Madison be released?
There is no release date yet for The Madison season 2, but stay tuned for updates.
Will there be more than two seasons of The Madison?
In a March 17 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Adams revealed that he and his fellow cast members “would shoot [The Madison] gladly forever. We’ve found something kind of miraculously special here and as long as it’s a story that people want to hear, we’d be happy to tell it.”
Executive producer of the show Christina Voros added, “any time you get a show together with a cast like this, you kind of want it to go forever. And I think having completed the second season, you just fall more and more in love with them as a family. What’s interesting about it is that it’s very much going to resonate with people who have been watching shows in the Yellowstone-verse for a very long time, but it’s also going to draw in people who would not necessarily gravitate to the more muscular and masculine action-driven content of some of Taylor’s bigger shows like Yellowstone or Lioness. It is a simpler story in many ways on the surface, but infinitely more complicated, emotionally, underneath it. There are an abundance of river references to be made when describing The Madison.”
