Timothée Chalamet took his mom, Nicole Flender, to the Actor Awards on March 1, but he and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, had a special outing just one day later—and new details about it came out on March 12.
The pair was originally photographed talking with William H. Macy backstage at LeBron James and Steve Nash’s Mind the Game podcast on March 2.
Yesterday, Clueless costume designer Mona May shared a new photo from the outing—and revealed that it wasn’t just a podcast taping they attended. It was a special screening for Chalamet’s film Marty Supreme, and Jenner was there supporting her partner.
May also confirmed that Chalamet’s yellow plaid top was a tribute to Clueless’s Cher.

Photos of Jenner and Chalamet at the event originally came out on March 3. Chalamet was the statement dresser in his plaid button-up, while Jenner wore neutrals alongside him, pairing a white crop top and gray trench with black pants.
The podcast was released on March 5. Chalamet didn’t discuss Jenner in the Q&A, but he was candid about how he approaches his interviews and public appearances.
He touched on being one of the leading actors in the industry, saying, “I feel like once I achieve it at a certain level, you want to stay up top and also this is like the moment is thin. I know the moment is thin.
“As an actor, you can have a long career, but this is like a unique thing I’m in,” he continued. “So I definitely feel like even coming here tonight, it’s like, no man, I don’t want to just make this a humble podcast. I want to like leave an imprint. I did a thing with Matthew McConaughey in Texas [the CNN Town Hall], same thing. I want to leave an imprint. Everything, if I go up there for an award show, like the SAG Awards last year, it was random. I wanted to say something, boom, that’s going to leave an imprint, and [I] don’t take anything for granted.”
Chalamet is a big basketball fan—and is very passionate about the New York Knicks, making this a very special interview. Jenner has regularly attended games with him.

Jenner and Chalamet were also photographed kissing the week of the Actor Awards during her Beverly Hills photo shoot. They’ve attended many awards season events together, including the Critics Choice Awards.
During that ceremony, Chalamet gave his partner a shout-out in his best actor award acceptance speech. He told her and the crowd, “And lastly, I’ll just say thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
