Take a stroll down Fifth Avenue this morning, and you’ll discover that Ronny Kobo has brought a vision of the Scottish Highlands to Midtown Manhattan. An ardent fan of the Starz drama Outlander—the eighth and final season of which premieres March 6—the designer has teamed up with the series to transform the windows of Saks Fifth Avenue into Easter egg-filled Outlander vignettes. Each window display is outfitted with designs from Kobo’s latest collection: a limited-edition collaboration between Kobo’s eponymous brand and the hit historical series, influenced by the “depth and drama” of protagonists Jamie and Claire’s epic love story.

Available to shop worldwide on ronnykobo.com and saksfifthavenue.com, as well as in the flagship Saks Fifth Avenue store itself, the limited-edition collection includes seven pieces made from “natural fibers that match the ethereal designs,” Kobo says: lace, poplin, cotton, and silk. The options include a creamy lace dress and peplum top; a tie-neck blouse and dress in verdant jewel tones; a striped button-front top and shirtdress with exaggerated sleeves; and an asymmetrical plaid ruffle gown, nodding to the Scottish tartan featured prominently throughout Outlander’s run. Each will be available for purchase from Feb. 25 through March 11, 2026.

The collaboration was a particularly personal one for Kobo, who was drawn to the series—inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling books—during the COVID pandemic and again while undergoing ovarian cancer treatment. “Outlander was the show that carried me through the pandemic,” Kobo tells ELLE. “I became one of its devoted followers, completely immersed in its world.” The drama’s approach to romance resonated deeply with the designer, who felt the series “expressed sensuality through storytelling and wardrobe in a way that felt refined, powerful, and entirely distinct from modern interpretations of sexiness.”

The challenge, then, was in “translating” that sensuality for a modern retail audience. “I wanted pieces that could live in today’s wardrobe without feeling like a costume or too theatrical,” she continues. “It became about distilling the romance, structure, and sensuality of the era into silhouettes and styling that felt effortless, relevant, and commercially viable.”

The collection is available in sizes XS–XL, and prices range from $300–$600. Although Kobo is proud of each piece in the collection, she does confirm a favorite or two: “I love the ruffle dress with the plaid print,” she admits. “I also love the drama of the lace tops and dress.”

At Saks Fifth Avenue’s New York flagship location, shoppers will discover two custom window installations, each bringing a scene from Outlander to the fore. One pays homage to the Scottish Highlands themselves, as well as the iconic standing stones of Craigh na Dun—through which Claire and her kin travel through time. The other replicates the cozy interior of Claire and Jamie’s home at Fraser’s Ridge, and in this vignette viewers will be able to spot Easter eggs from all eight seasons of Outlander.

As the series approaches its final chapter, Kobo echoes her fellow fans’ enthusiasm for a sweeping send-off. What excites her most about Outlander’s grand finale? “The two main characters building their family—and continuing their ‘timeless’ romance.”
