Bella Hadid and Adan Banuelos’s love story has come to an end. Entertainment Tonight reported that the pair, first romantically linked in October 2023, quietly split. The outlet didn’t specify when, exactly, the relationship ended, but a source did discuss Hadid’s headspace as she moves forward.

“Bella is doing her best to stay positive and distract herself since their split,” the source said. “She’s been staying busy with work and spending time with close friends. She is still processing the breakup since it was a very serious relationship.”

Over the course of their relationship, Hadid and Banuelos did occasionally speak publicly about their romance—though they kept most of it private. In August 2024, the Texas-based cowboy Banuelos told the podcast Along For the Ride that Hadid moved into his fifth-wheel trailer with him. “It was cool because I really wanted that to be a part of our relationship,” he said. “You know, you start having feelings for somebody, and you start thinking things like, ‘Man, maybe this is the rest of my life here,’ and knowing that she is that simple of a human being [and] that the material things aren’t important—or the most important thing.”

He added, “Man, I can’t tell you how happy I am. I can’t tell you how fortunate I am. This young lady is one of the kindest, biggest-hearted and sweet person I’ve [ever met]. I mean, I didn’t know God made ’em like that.”

In May 2025, Hadid spoke about Banuelos in her British Vogue interview, recalling how she met him at a local Texas horse show after she had just moved there with her mom during a low point in her life.

“I saw him walk in, and it was like a gust of fresh air,” she said. “So he basically came in, walked into the exhibit hall, which is where we do all of the show stuff. I was getting a cowboy hat fitted. I just saw him and I was like that’s the…I always wanted the cowboy.” She laughed, adding, “And he’s pretty gorgeous, let me tell you something.”

She gushed about his achievements, saying, “He’s the youngest Mexican cowboy to ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He works for his family, he works for his customers, and he works to hopefully build a home and a family one day.”

She also shared her dream of becoming a parent: “I can’t wait to be a mom. I think that I’m somebody for a lot of people, but in the real intimate way of being the person that somebody can count on consistently, that will change my life for me. And I cannot wait. I never grew up being like, ‘Oh, I have this vision of marriage.’ I have this vision of being a mother. But it’s got to a point where I’m like: ‘You know what? That’s something that’s for me.’ I think that would make me truly happy.”
