Taylor Swift Makes Rare TV Appearance at Travis Kelce’s Game Against the Texans

  • Taylor Swift made a brief appearance during the broadcast of Travis Kelce’s game against the Houston Texans this evening.
  • The singer has attended many Chiefs home games this season but has mostly flown under the radar.
  • She has rarely been filmed or photographed at Arrowhead Stadium and has purposely kept a lower profile.

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are back at Arrowhead Stadium, playing against the Houston Texans this evening. His fiancée, Taylor Swift, is at the game and was filmed briefly during the broadcast. She has otherwise flown under the radar at the Kansas City, Missouri sporting event.

Swift has purposely chosen to keep a lower profile at Kelce’s games this season. A source explained to Us Weekly at the end of October that she decided to do so because the attention on her was “getting too excessive.”

Last week, Chiefs president Mark Donovan explained on Up & Adams why he almost never shows Swift on the Jumbotron during Kelce’s games. “My job early on in this was—and I told Travis this—we’re going to treat you and your relationship with the same respect that we treat any other player in the country’s relationship,” he said. “It’s a relationship. Like, we’re not going to monetize it. We’re not going to go out there and go crazy.”

He added, “All those shots you see of Taylor in the stadium [when] he scores a touchdown, he makes a catch, [the TV cameras] go to Taylor, especially the first year—we never showed Taylor on our big boards in our stadium. It was respectful. It’s like, we’re not going to do that. We’re not taking advantage of this relationship.”

Swift herself spoke about her experience going to Kelce’s games to Time in December 2023, stressing she has never sought to be on camera. “I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she said. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”

She added, “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
