What to Know About the Red, White, & Royal Blue Sequel
“It’s official, a Red, White, & Royal Blue sequel is in the works!” Amazon MGM Studios tweeted on Thursday, May 9. The studio further confirmed the news with a teaser poster that reads, “Fancy another slice?” The answer is certainly yes.
In a clip posted by Entertainment Weekly, the film’s director, Matthew López, broke the news during a special screening of the film on May 9. “Yes, there’s gonna be a sequel,” he said, and the audience immediately began to cheer.
The rom-com is based on the wildly popular novel of the same title by Casey McQuiston, which was originally published in 2019. It follows Alex (Taylor Zakhar Perez), the son of the U.S. president, and the British Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine), as they fall into an enemies-to-lovers romance and then must keep their relationship secret.

On the page and on the screen, fans grew to love the couple—and they’ve been hoping for a sequel since the film premiered in the summer of 2023. Now, nearly one year later, part two is officially on the way. Ahead, everything you need to know about the Red, White, & Royal Blue sequel.
