There’s a reason you return to Chrissy Teigen’s socials daily, and it’s not only to see how she’s trolling her husband John Legend. Teigen has always been an open book with her followers, whether she’s discussing plastic surgery, postpartum depression, or predictions on what The Office cast would be like ten years later (she believes Pam is unhappy with her life). She’s especially open when it comes to her skincare routine. On Wednesday night, Teigen took her followers into her bathroom to breakdown how she removes her makeup after a long day.
You’d be forgiven if you assumed Teigen’s nighttime skincare routine was as elaborate and extra as she is, but Teigen only used two products to get the job done. “It’s is 11:30 [pm] and I’m just sharing that my makeup really held up,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram Stories. Before reaching for her “favorite” makeup remover—Eyeko Mascara Off Wipes—she assured followers that this wasn’t a sponsored video. “I just like it,” she said while holding the bright blue packaging to the camera.
While the wipes are specifically for the eyes, Teigen prefers using them all over her face. Teigen advised resting the wipes on your lashes (she had individual falsies applied) so they can “gently come off.”
After repeating that first step a few times to ensure all the product is off her face, Teigen reached for her eyebrow brush to put a few hair back in place. For the final step in her routine, Teigen used the Le Prunier Plum Beauty Oil recommended by her friend Nova Kaplan, who spoke highly of the oil. Teigen wasn’t convinced until she tried it for herself.
“When I tell you I woke up and my skin was like plump and supple and even, it was like magic,” she said. She finished by rubbing the oil all over her face and lips. That’s it, folks! Radiant, dewy skin with just two products. Beauty YouTubers are shaking.
