Edo speaker, Prince Charles test positive for Coronavirus – The Nation Newspaper

Edo State House of Assembly Speaker Frank Okiye, has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, 71, also tested positive for the virus, Clarence House, a British royal residence in London, announced.

Okiye returned from the United Kingdom, where 8,264 cases and 435 deaths have been reported so far.

He self-isolated on his return but is in a stable condition at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital in Esan Central Local Government Area.

Okiye’s wife and daughter tested negative.

Prince Charles, who tested positive for COVID-19, is said to be displaying mild symptoms “but otherwise remains in good health”, a spokesman said.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, 72, has been tested but does not have the virus.

Charles and Camilla are now self-isolating at Balmoral.
