Rt Hon Frank Abumere Okiye PAY CONDOLENCE VISIT TO THE ACCINDENT VICTIMS' FAMILY.
The immediate past Speaker of Edo House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Frank Okiye paid an empathy visit to the immediate family of the children who were killed in the accident at Isua, Arue of Esan North East, Uromi today, Sunday, January 17th, 2021.
The six children who died on Friday Friday 25th January, 2021, after they were knocked by a reckless driver are between the ages of 13 and 14 years and were all males, the children were said to be playing with a dog in their friend's compound and unfortunately while the dog escaped, the children were not so lucky.
Speaking with the families, Rt Hon Frank Abumere Okiye consoled the family and urged them to look up to God who is able to do all things and knows how best to console them.
He also advised the families of the bereaved to bring their minds down, focus on God and look up to Him for solace. Telling them, " things happen in life".
He urged drivers to always drive with care and obey road rules. to avoid ugly incidence as this.
One of the parents, who lost two children lamented that his children were suppose to bury him and not him burying his children. Why will a vehicle come to his compound to kill his children? Its disheartening.
Okiye prayed to God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
The ex Speaker said the family should take solace in the fact that the children would be with the Lord.
The immediate past Speaker who hail from the community, thereafter visited other families who lost their love ones, a woman who died while giving birth and another woman who died after a brief illness.
He earlier on paid a condolence visit to the odionwere of the Isua community Elder Oseyomon Ukokobili, who is in this case the chief mourner.
He also paid condolence visit to the family of Sir Eigbodion who died recently, "Eigbodion Who died recently at a very ripe age"
