After welcoming their fourth child via surrogate on Friday, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announced the name of their new baby boy a week later: Psalm West. Kim shared the news on her Instagram, posting the first photo of him, too.
Naturally, Twitter had a lot of feelings about the name Psalm being chosen and lots of jokes:
People reported before the name was announced that Kimye “have had a name in mind, but wanted to meet the baby before they decided,” a source said.
After meeting their new baby last week, Kim shared some details about what he looks like on Twitter, comparing him to his older sister, Chicago.
“Kim and Kanye were both present for the hospital birth on Thursday,” the source added. “They are ecstatic. Their little boy is super cute and looks like Kim.”
Siblings North, Saint, and Chicago have also met their new brother and the family was expecting to have him home before Mother’s Day.
Kim first announced they were expecting a new baby in January, during an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“We are [working on another child],” Kardashian told Cohen “We do [have a due date]. It’s sometime soon. We do [know if it’s a boy or girl]. It’s a boy.”
Last Thursday, Kim’s sister Kourtney appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show with mom Kris Jenner to surprise her for Mother’s Day. Kourtney, who brought her children and Kim’s children, told the audience that Kim was supposed to join, but her surrogate went into labor.
“So, my mom doesn’t even know this, but Kim’s surrogate went into labor, so she’s at the hospital,” Kourtney told the room.
“What! What are we doing here?!” Kris replied in shock.
